Wait, you don't actually think autistic kids are borderline comatose, do you?
I know they veritably litter the ground in the Rochester area, which must be annoying when you're trying to push past them on the sidewalk to get into the Booze Mart*...but they don't actually seem devoid of sensation, do they?
*Okay, okay, the Booze Mart's actually in Saint Paul somewhere offa Robert Street.
No, not at all. But they have a tendency to not relate to or connect with the rest of the world (in a typical way, at least). One could argue that they are not as aware of their surroundings as a typical person would be.
Although, now that you mention it... "Coma Awareness" would be even "better."
